Overview of the role

Each Analyst has, at any one time, various project-specific responsibilities as well as wider spheres of responsibility within the unit's global database projects. The role is a combination of: data building using in-house tools and methodology;  data validation through conducting research and analysis; commissioning - controlling and editing the work of research associates in the field.

Analysts work as a team and are responsible for updating and developing sections of new and existing datasets and reports for the industries included into Euromonitor research coverage. The role also includes dealing with various ad-hoc requests, e.g., for local insight, translations, new product testing, and anything else which is directly relevant. Euromonitor expects its research staff to be committed to building:

  • Selected industries’ expertise

Key responsibilities:

  • Secondary and primary research
  • Collating and analysing new research
  • Statistical and textual editing
  • Written analysis
  • Responding to both in-house and client queries
  • Assessing and improving overall product quality
  • Building research contacts and developing regional/industry expertise
  • Coordination and management of in-country research analysts
  • Advancing the profile of Euromonitor International within the client base and with prospective clients through coordination with sales and PR


  • Prior business-related research experience and associated skills (such as interviewing, statistical analysis, insight generation, strategic analysis, data interpretation)
  • FMCG industry knowledge, including of consumer trends and lifestyle issue
  • Numeracy combined with analytical skills, including the ability to interpret and present data in an insightful way
  • Ability to prioritise, self-organise and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to communicate research findings, recommendations, and insights in a concise and clear manner
  • Background and interest in economics, finance, marketing, and/or market research
  • Oral and written fluency in English

Salary range 25,000-28,5000 Euros
