Location
We would like you to work from our office in Vilnius two days per week, joining our team of dedicated professionals and making your mark on the world of B2B e-commerce.

What you’ll be doing - If you get excited by the following, this is the role for you.
KYC (Know Your Customer) Procedures:
Conduct thorough due diligence on new customers during the onboarding process to verify their identities and assess their risk profiles.
Review and analyse customer documentation, including identification, proof of address, and business incorporation documents, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, including KYC documentation and risk assessments.
Risk Screening:
Conduct sanction screening reviews on new and existing customers using designated screening tools to identify individuals or entities on government sanctions lists, PEP, adverse media
Investigate and escalate any potential matches to the appropriate compliance personnel for further review and disposition.
Transaction Monitoring:
Monitor customer transactions for unusual or suspicious activity, conducting investigations and escalating potential issues as appropriate.
Review alerts generated by transaction monitoring systems, conducting investigations to determine the legitimacy of flagged transactions.
Document findings and maintain detailed records of all transaction monitoring activities, ensuring compliance with recordkeeping requirements.
Regulatory Compliance:
Supervise the business processes that involve compliance and regulations
Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate regulatory risks.
Provide regulatory advice to the board
Carry out investigations to find gaps in the current strategies, which involve compliance and rectify them as per the regulatory guidelines
Supervise a document management system
Act as a contact person and collaborate with regulators and local authorities, properly represent the Company to Lithuanian regulators
Who we’re looking for - At Hokodo, we prioritise hiring individuals who share our mission and values, and possess the right attitudes and behaviours for success. While some of the listed requirements may be important, don't worry if you don't meet all of them, we’d still like to hear from you.
Strong understanding of applicable laws and regulatory requirements relevant to EMIs, including AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC regulations.
Experience with sanction screening and transaction monitoring.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and anomalies in data.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with internal stakeholders, customers, and regulatory authorities.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of work.
Nice to have
Fluency in English and Lithuanian
Bachelor’s degree with 3 – 5 years of relevant KYC, AML and sanctions experience in fintech, financial services, litigation or regulatory environment
Proven ability to make independent professional decision making in relation to possible financial crime risks
Experience dealing with regulators including the Bank of Lithuania
Proven track record of knowledge in regulatory trends and requirements posed by outside regulatory bodies as well as internal policies.
