The Data Lead is a hands-on and pragmatic role that will spearhead the data initiatives focusing particularly on a SAP S4 implementation, as well as building reporting & analytics solutions and optimising the data landscape (e.g. SAP Financials and Controlling, Materials Management, Sales & Distribution, Production Planning, BW).
They will guide the development and execution of JM and Sector data strategy, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and availability to support business goals and work closely with (R2R, STC, S2P, P2M) Business Process Manager’s and functional domain stakeholders to distil strategic data priorities and develop and implement high-value use cases.

Data Strategy Development: Evolve and execute a comprehensive data strategy that supports the organisation's goals.
Data Governance: Refresh and enforce data governance standards, ensuring data consistency, security, and compliance.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage with IT, JMGS, Finance, Procurement, Sales, Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams to understand and cater to their specific data needs.
Data Quality Assurance: Implement tools and processes within and across key systems e.g. SAP, to monitor and ensure data quality.
Project Oversight: Lead data projects including ERP enhancements and (S/4 HANA) upgrades, ensuring robust data readiness plans, timely delivery, scope adherence, and alignment with business requirements.
Data Migration - Create and execute test plans to validate data migration processes and ensure successful cutover; Provide support during the migration cutover phase and troubleshoot any data-related issues; Document data migration processes, procedures, and best practices for future reference.
Data Architecture Management: Collaborate with data architects to ensure a robust, scalable, and efficient data environment for all in-scope functions and processes.
Source to Target Mapping: Define and validate with the business how data is transferred and transformed from multiple source systems to target system e.g. upstream SAP modules to BW and onward systems.
Data Lineage: Design, develop, and implement data lineage solutions to track the flow of data throughout the organisation.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance data processes, tools, and methodologies, driving innovation and efficiency across R2R, S2P, PTM, and STC processes.
Reporting & Analytics: leverage improved data and the team’s and your own capabilities to deliver improved reporting for decision management across our core processes and business functions.
Training & Development: Deliver training on data best practices to the team and the broader organisation, enhancing data literacy and skills.
Stakeholder Communication: Regularly update senior leadership and other stakeholders on data initiatives, progress, and outcomes.
SAP Expertise: Comprehensive and demonstratable understanding of the SAP data landscape including modules such as Financials and Controlling (FI/CO), Materials Management (MM), Sales & Distribution (SD), Production Planning (PP), and BW.
Reporting & Analytics Tools: Proficiency in building reporting and analytics solutions within Power Platform e.g. Power BI, Power Query visualize, analyse, and report on data.
Database Management: Experience in database management systems, data warehousing, and ETL processes, ensuring smooth data flow and optimization.
Data Modelling: Ability to design, construct, install, and maintain large-scale processing systems and other infrastructure.
Data Quality Tools: Experience with tools and frameworks that ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability.
Data Security: Understanding of data privacy standards and security protocols related to data storage, transfer, and processing.
System Integration: Knowledge of integrating various systems and data sources to provide a unified view and analysis platform.
Data Strategy: Capability to develop and implement comprehensive data strategies covering Masterdata, governance, data quality & completeness and data availability. aligning with business goals and objectives.
Continuous Learning: Keeping updated with the latest developments in SAP, data analytics, and other relevant technologies.
Source to Target Data Mapping: Defining how data is transferred and transformed from multiple source systems to target system.
SAP Certification: Certification in one or more of SAP modules (e.g. FI/CO, MM, SD, PP) is highly desirable.
Programming Skills: Proficient in scripting and programming languages such as but limited to SQL, Python, and R, ensuring the ability to handle complex data analysis tasks.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex data and derive meaningful insights to aid in decision-making processes.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to guide and motivate teams (both direct and indirect reporting lines), drive projects to completion, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Attention to Detail: Precision and meticulousness in handling, analysing, and presenting data.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing business requirements, technologies, or strategies.
Project Management: Proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful delivery, with supporting project certification e.g. Prince, Agile, Lean, etc.
