With a robust digital presence, including driving traffic to their websites and strategic placement on major e-commerce platforms, alongside two efficient physical distribution hubs, our client has successfully cultivated five distinct brands organically, all achieved without external capital. Their unique strategy involves building, scaling, and strategically placing brands, exemplified by the strategic sale of three brands to ideal partners. Currently we are looking for The General Manager (GM) who would be responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the company, ensuring that business goals are met, and aligning the operational activities with the strategic objectives set by the executive team. This role involves managing and growing resources, monitoring performance, and leading a high-performing team to achieve company growth and operational efficiency. Ideal candidate has deep understanding in digital marketing and eCommerce. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations and develop strategies aligned with company goals;
  • Strategic Planning: Assist in strategic plan development and implementation. Coordinate OKRs and planning sessions;
  • Financial Oversight: Manage budgets and financial performance. Liaise with Finance and Accounting for alignment;
  • Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs, identify improvement areas, and enhance efficiency;
  • Process Improvement: Implement efficient processes and promote new technologies;
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop the operations team;
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of service delivery;
  • Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, including inventory and staffing;
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with laws and company policies. Identify and mitigate operational risks;
  • Project Management: Oversee major projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met;
  • Communication: Ensure clear communication across departments and with external stakeholders.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a managerial role, with at least 5 years in a senior management position such as Operations Manager, Senior Manager, or Director of Operations;
    • Proven experience in strategic planning, process improvement, and operational management;
    • Experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team-building skills;
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities;
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
    • Strong organizational and project management skills;
    • Proficiency in using business software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite).

Minimum Experience:

  • 10+ years in a managerial role, with significant experience in senior management positions;
  • Proven track record of successfully managing operations and driving business growth;
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans and improving operational processes.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with occasional travel as needed;
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
