Currently, we are looking for a Junior Software Engineer (PHP) to join the Homeowner platform development team within the Small Partner Solutions department. In this hands-on role, you will collaborate closely with the product and engineering leads daily and constantly evolve your skills. You will be closely involved in the Product development cycle, contributing to building of new features and improvements. You will be surrounded and supported by a team of smart, dedicated, fun, and equally driven people.
In this role, you will
- Collaborate with the team to create and maintain features
- Develop and maintain systems using PHP, MariaDB, RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch, and Kubernetes, while gaining hands-on experience and enhancing your skills across these technologies
- Ensure that your features are well-tested
- Be involved in the full software life-cycle
- Solve technical design issues
- Help to maintain a healthy codebase
- Suggest your ideas on how to improve your surroundings
What you will bring
- At least 1 year of experience in writing good code with PHP (or other high-level programming language) and a good understanding of OOP
- At least 1 year of experience with Symfony (or similar framework), PHPUnit (or alternatives) and Git is a plus
- Good knowledge of relational databases
- Eagerness to learn and ability to adapt to ever-changing situations
- Problem-solving, decision making and effective communication skills
- Ability to work with a group of highly skilled developers and product owners
- Professional working proficiency in English and Lithuanian
