In this Lead to Cash (AR) Accountant position you will be assigned to various roles to provide interim support and expertise to teams across GBS to resolve critical issues, deliver projects (e.g. performance improvement initiatives) or provide short-term support to temporarily fill vacancies.
What you will be responsible for:
Diagnose issues and determine root causes to identify opportunities for improvements to processes and controls.
Work with Tower Leads, Team Leads, BMI Market teams (incl. Finance Directors), GBS Leadership and GPOs to scope and deliver performance improvement initiatives.
Devise strategies and plans to resolve operational issues and drive effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline operations, reduce errors/poor performance and enhance efficiency. This may involve implementing new processes, software, automation, knowledge transfer or workflow enhancements.
Define and agree metrics and targets for performance improvement initiatives (working with team leads, GPOs/GPSs and GBS Leadership) and monitor and report on these metrics.
On exiting assignments, ensure a thorough handover/embedding plan is in place.
Provide short-term support to temporarily fill a vacancy with a Service Delivery team.
Identify and escalate knowledge gaps (to team leads, Learning and Development team, GBS Leadership).
Provide input to GBS Leadership on long-term opportunities and strategies.
Contribute to setting goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for GBS.
Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer, assisting junior resources in their professional development. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's success.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and accounting standards.
Provide leadership across GBS, helping to set a positive and productive work culture, and ensuring that team members are aligned with departmental goals, and BMI GBS values.
About you:
At least 2 years of experience in Lead to Cash (AR) accounting area
Knowledge of the key Lead to Cash (AR) processes
Fluent English language skills
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, S4 etc.) and MS Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues independently
Flexible and adaptable team player
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent relationship management skills
