Vacancy: Senior Business Intelligence Engineer (Power BI)

We’re seeking a Power BI Engineer with expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Power BI. This role requires a deep understanding of data visualization techniques, modelling data from multiple domains, transforming data into actionable insights through impactful data visualisations and reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Power BI tools, analytics, and visualization principles, but focused on working with the business, and execution of hands-on dashboard development, with an ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Your responsibilities:
Drive Business Impact: Build informative reports and dashboards that deliver timely, accurate insights to stakeholders. These insights should fuel improved decision-making and drive tangible business results.
Develop innovative reporting solutions: Create innovative solutions using Power BI that enable data insights, enhance transparency, and empower informed decision-making.
Ensure Data Integrity: Champion data quality across the organisation. Review and improve underlying data models to guarantee accurate and consistent data flows, fostering trust in reporting outputs.
Optimise Reporting Efficiency: Automate testing and data validation processes to streamline reporting workflows and improve efficiency.
End-to-End Analytics Implementation: Own the full lifecycle of implementing analytics solutions. This includes understanding stakeholder needs, recommending optimal solutions, designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting innovative data-driven solutions.
Advanced Analytics Exploration: Continuously explore and experiment with advanced capabilities like Microsoft Fabric and CoPilot for Fabric / Power BI. Identify opportunities to leverage these functionalities for strategic benefit to the organisation.
Requirements for the role:
Minimum 3-5 years of Power BI Reporting & Analytics Project Implementation Experience
Experience in Power BI, demonstrating the ability to design, develop, and implement complex reporting solutions.
Showcase a strong understanding of data modelling principles and techniques for optimising data structures and facilitating efficient data analysis.
Highlight strong communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical aspects and business needs. Effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Certification in Power BI (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).
In-depth understanding of the Microsoft Power Platform suite and its relevant Power BI components; Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power BI Mobile, Power BI Gateway, Power BI Report Server
Familiarity with Azure Data Services, including DataVerse, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics and how these integrate with Power BI.
How you will be rewarded:
Salary range for this position is from 48 500 to 72 500 EUR per year depending on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. This role is also eligible to receive discretionary annual bonus that align with individual and company performance.
