We are over 550 professionals and currently looking for a Go Software Engineer to join our Edge Network development group. You’ll be working with a team of highly skilled professionals using a modern tech stack and helping to continuously improve our products and how we work.
Job Description
Your Responsibilities:
You will operate within an expert, product-oriented, cross-functional team to design, develop, deploy, monitor and maintain top-tier CDN and Edge Network solutions
Lead or contribute to enhancing existing features, developing improved architectures, and introducing new features for our CDN, all with a focus on improving the customer experience, performance, stability and scalability. Some examples of what you could be working on:
Enhance our ability to instantly deliver configurations to hundreds of edge nodes
Optimize the way our CDN caches content, to lower the strain on our infrastructure and offer a superior experience to the end users
Refine the tools that deploy applications to hundreds of nodes globally
Upgrade our content purging subsystem to offer greater flexibility to our customers
Integrate with Gcore products such as AI inference and web protection
Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to clarify requirements, explore various implementation options, and address challenges
You'll work with a modern tech stack, exploring ways to enhance our products' performance, reliability, usability, and observability
Through regular retrospectives, you'll have the ability to shape the team's internal and external work processes and interactions
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of commercial software development experience with strong Golang knowledge
Experience in handling systems with high traffic in a real-world production context
Experience with cloud products development
Strong Linux/Unix knowledge
Experience with Docker, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL (or similar)
Experience with observability tools such as Jaeger, Prometheus and Grafana or similar
Experience of leading the development of a significant feature or product
Product focused approach
Nice to Have:
Experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD tools such as GitHub actions
Experience with Nginx and/or Lua
Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering
