As the Fraud Manager at RockWallet, you will be part of RockWallet’s growing presence in Europe. You will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate potential fraud risks. The Fraud Manager will be initially managing the work, not a team.

This is a full-time position with a preference for candidates based in Lithuania.

Reporting to the VP of Payments, the Fraud Manager will be responsible for the following duties and obligations:

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust fraud prevention strategies specifically tailored to payment transactions in the self-custodial crypto wallet environment.


• Monitor payment transactions and analyze data to identify suspicious activities and potential fraud risks.


• Work closely with the product and engineering teams to implement fraud prevention tools and technologies.


• Investigate and resolve payment fraud incidents in a timely manner.


• Collaborate with external partners, such as payment processors and regulatory bodies, to enhance fraud prevention measures.


• Stay informed about the latest trends and techniques in payment fraud and continuously update fraud prevention protocols.


• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on fraud detection and prevention best practices.


• Prepare regular reports on payment fraud metrics and trends for management review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Business, or Information Technology.


• Proven experience in payments fraud management within the crypto or financial services industry.


• Relevant certifications in fraud detection and prevention are a plus.


• Deep understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency payments, and self-custodial wallets.


• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex payment data.


• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.


• Responsive, diligent, resilient, and persistent in approach.


• Highly organized with an aptitude for delegation and managing competing priorities.


• Proficient in critical thinking, problem-solving, and active listening, and committed to continuous team improvement.


• Exceptional leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.


• Must be flexible and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
