Guru Pay is an EMI based in Lithuania with a goal to deliver a personalized boutique service to B2B, B2C and C2B customers. Our team is small, yet highly ambitious in delivering high tier service for our business accounts.
We want to go big - in revenue and in our quality of AML processes. While the position entails maternity leave coverage, we are offering a permanent employment contract to build a successful AML department, ready to take on future growth challenges. Our vision for this role is:
Short-term: covering the current head of AML while on parental leave and fully owning the AML function.
Long-term: empowering to replicate or test successful practices and sharing operational and leadership tasks with the AML Lead.
The hiring process:
- An intro call to align expectations (30 min. remote)
- A technical call to assess competencies and experience (60 min. remote)
- A culture call to review team fit and leadership traits (60 min. live)
- A team call to evaluate a mutual culture match (30 min. remote)
What will you do:
- Lead the AML team function - employee growth, performance, task maturity and procedure quality
- Own correspondence and decisions in tough cases, including escalations to the AML Compliance Officer (AMLCO)
- Own and support regulatory audits and risk assessments
- Build reports from scratch for regulatory institutions and the AMLCO
- Drive cross-team collaboration in daily hiccups, strategic goals and AML training
What we expect:
- A self-sufficient AML leader who already knows all the ropes in the payments industry. An ideal candidate would have around 5 years of AML experience in total: 2 of which would involve leadership responsibilities and a full year would be focused on FinTech AML processes
- Professional (C1 or higher) Lithuanian and English language skills
- A confident decision maker with a passion for collaboration. We are looking for a leader who is a great team player - and enjoys it
