We are on the lookout for a dynamic and visionary leader to assume the role of Head of IT Strategy Acceleration and DevOps. This pivotal position is given the mandate to steering all squads, comprising 200 developers at Danica IT, towards IT operational excellence. Focusing on improving the experience and efficiency of developers in creating, modifying, and maintaining software applications. Additionally, this role involves a significant emphasis on upskilling Danica IT and boosting motivation and overall productivity among our developers.
You will lead a squad of 15 highly skilled IT professionals working from Denmark, Lithuania and Malaysia, driving the adoption of best practices, frameworks, and standards for the software development cycle. Your primary responsibility includes track and steer the execution of Danica's IT strategy, including performance management. Promoting the adoption of Turn to New Tech (TTNT) and ensuring the integration of tools such as the DevOps methodology across all squads. This role is crucial in enhancing collaboration, automating processes, and streamlining software delivery and infrastructure updates to boost reliability, efficiency, and speed across all developer groups.
You will also play a pivotal role in enhancing our IT operational frameworks and leading our change management processes. Additionally, you will ensure operational readiness for new tooling, platforms, and services, both on-premises and in the cloud.

You will:
- Track and steer the execution of Danica's IT strategy, including performance management. Set up metrics and guide the use of Jira for reporting
- Incentivize and oversee the adoption of Turn to New Tech (TTNT). E.g. steer, and promote/enforce standards for the software development lifecycle and tooling coming from Developer Experience Tribe in Danske Bank
- Implement software quality assurance frameworks and best practices
- Enhance IT operational excellence through standardization, automation, and optimization. Manage incident and release management processes, including reporting Ensure IT operational excellence, both on-premises and readiness for new tooling, platforms, and services in the cloud
- Drive technical guilds to scale best practices and act as an ambassador for TTNT skill assessments and upskilling initiatives
About you:
- Strong background in change management, project execution, and stakeholder engagement. You listen to what the developers need, understand what we have, and decisively steer our collective efforts. You remain objective and find the right solutions that benefit Danica IT overall
- A key enabler for Danica's Forward '28 strategy is to move closer to Danske Bank. We are looking for a candidate who is eager to establish even closer collaboration with Danske Bank Subject Matter Expert teams and utilize common capabilities, learnings, and resources effectively
- Excellent execution skills with a robust analytical mindset for setting governance and standards. Ensure that agreed-upon actions are followed through and that we see tangible results
- 3+ years of experience with performance management in an IT organization
- Deep respect for the criticality of IT operations, with a thorough understanding of the importance of managing transformation without compromising the integrity and performance of IT operations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to serve as a mentor and leader
- Upper-Intermediate English skills, both written and spoken

This position can be located both in Lithuania and Denmark. If you are hired in Lithuania, the applicable salary range will be from 5520 to 8280EUR monthly (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
