Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Accounting: The Revenue Operations Lead will oversee accurate revenue-related reporting and journal entries while managing revenue closing activities such as accruals, provisions, and reconciliations in compliance with US-GAAP/Stat rules. Additionally, the role involves tracking and managing the revenue closing calendar to ensure timely financial closing.
Financial & Regulatory Reporting: This role requires ensuring compliance with regional statutory requirements related to revenue accounting, providing guidance on statutory and tax accounting, reporting, and audits, and coordinating with operation controllers for regulatory filings and tax compliance.
Customer Billing: The successful candidate will monitor and manage unbilled accounts receivable, collaborating with teams to remove billing obstacles, and will review and approve adjustments to credit notes and invoices in accordance with local VAT laws.
Contract Processing: In this capacity, the Lead will engage with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and guide on contract variations.
Compliance & Controls: Responsibilities include maintaining rigorous controls on revenue processes and balance sheet controls and addressing and rectifying any identified control deficiencies.
Collaboration: role involves partnering with Client Service to support sales proposals and contract entries, providing training, and collaborating on contract interpretations and revenue-related queries.
Inquiry Support: The Lead will assist with various audits, ensuring adherence to Global/Regional COE standards.
Team Management: The role includes supervising, coaching, and mentoring team members, fostering a high-energy, engaging work environment.
Regulatory Filing and Audit Support: The Revenue Operations Lead will manage documentation for regulatory filings and audits and develop and implement mitigation plans for identified deficiencies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in finance operations, particularly in revenue operations and accounting.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of US-GAAP, statutory regulations, and financial reporting. Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office.
Leadership Skills: Experience in team management, with a capability to mentor and motivate.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across various departments.
Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills with an ability to manage large datasets and derive meaningful insights.
Problem-Solving: Efficient in problem-solving and able to implement process improvements.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with tax laws and compliance frameworks relevant to revenue accounting.
