Job Description
An Accountant will be supporting all aspects of local accounting and controlling in the local market in Lithuania. Moreover, she/he will be providing support in coordinating activities between Revenue Controlling, Business Finance, Operational Controlling teams and NIQ Shared centres. He/she will have an important role in performing local accounting activities and supporting the local finance processes.
Responsibilities:
Support the local controllership function and lead the local Operational Controlling team; provide financial oversight on the local business.
Support compliance with all relevant global, regional or local policies, procedures and guidelines.
Ensure adequate performance and reporting on the following by leveraging both onshore and offshore resources:
US-Local GAAP accounting/closing, accruals, and account reconciliations. Company’s internal audit tool.
Local Statutory reporting – annual reporting to Tax authority, Tax reporting (except the payroll related).
Procure-to-pay functions support (invoice; payments, T&E, etc).
Intercompany transactions – contract reviews and reconciliations.
Cooperation with NIQ Group Shared centres.
Support change locally regarding standardization and simplification initiatives as governed by the Global or Regional COE core teams or by Finance leadership.
Assist in producing monthly closing dashboard, and quarterly and year-end reporting packs in accordance with corporate requirements for the local market.
Support the Market Controller during local internal audit and compliance review assignments, including any SOX or distributed audits.
Assist with the maintenance of local statutory accounts and ensure ongoing compliance with local regulation for the local legal entities.
Assist in the statutory and tax accounting and audit processes and act as the single point of contact for external auditors and/or tax and statutory authorities or consultants.
Job requirements:
Academic background including bachelor`s and master`s degree in Economics, Finance, Business and/or other related fields.
2 years of relevant work experience.
Good written and verbal communication skills in Lithuanian and English Language.
MS Office knowledge (Excel, Word).
SAP knowledge is an advantage.
